In my meeting with Pope John Paul II… I was in church in the Vatican, in St. Peter’s, and the Pope passed by and gave his blessing to everyone. So he blessed me too.
The priest next to me raised his voice and said: “Holy Father, this is Mirjana of Medjugorje”.
He came back, gave the blessing again and left. In the afternoon we received an invitation from the Pope for the following morning. I didn’t sleep all night because of it.

He told me: “If I weren’t pope I would have already come to Medjugorje. I know everything. I follow everything.

When the Pope died, a friend of his came here who wanted to be healed. He introduced himself to me and told me that a month before the apparitions began in Medjugorje the Pope asked Our Lady on his knees that she come to earth again.
He said: “I can’t do it alone. There is the Berlin Wall; there is communism. I need you”. He was very devoted to the Virgin Mary.
After more or less a month they told him that the Virgin Mary was appearing in a communist state, in a small town. He saw this as an answer to his prayer.
